I’ve worked as a magazine editor, subeditor, senior copywriter, PR & marketing coordinator, financial journalist and broadcaster (not in that order) over the past 20+ years.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Journalism) from the University of Technology, Sydney, I spent 5 years as a financial journalist and reporter.
I then made the leap into lifestyle media. I was Editor of niche craft title Homespun (Universal Magazines) for almost 3 years, and was awarded Editor of the Year for my work in this role at the 2007 Bell Awards in Sydney. After a stint at Real Living magazine, I spent 4 years as a subeditor then Deputy Chief Subeditor for Australian Gourmet Traveller magazine.
For almost 3 years I worked as Senior Copywriter, Marketing Communications for Williams-Sonoma Australia Pty Ltd, where I introduced iconic US brands Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm to the Australian market and developed the localised communications strategy for those brands.
Since 2016 I’ve been busy building a thriving and fulfilling freelance career. I love working with brands I respect and contributing to companies and businesses I’ve long admired.
